How maxxd works

maxxd.fun is a place to launch memecoins on Solana. It works like pump.fun: you create a coin, people trade it on a bonding curve, and once enough SOL has gone in it moves to a normal liquidity pool. The one thing we add is that every coin also has its own long vs short market.

Launching a coin

Pick a name, a ticker and an image, and sign one transaction. There is no launch fee, you only pay Solana network fees. The coin has a fixed supply of 1 billion and nobody can ever mint more.

When you launch, you put your own SOL behind the coin with a locked long, from 0.01 to 2 SOL, and you pick its leverage. It opens automatically with the coin and stays locked for a time you choose, from 15 minutes to 24 hours. Its liquidation price is shown on the coin page from the first second. If the price falls to it, your SOL is gone and the coin is marked as rekt. If it holds until the lock ends, you get your SOL back.

Trading

Before graduation, buying and selling happens against the Meteora bonding curve. The price rises as people buy. Each trade costs 1%. When the curve has collected enough SOL (the progress bar on every coin shows how close it is), the coin graduates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. The liquidity in that pool is locked permanently, so nobody can pull it.

Long vs short

Every coin has a separate market where you bet on the price over a short round, 15 or 60 minutes depending on the coin. Go long if you think the price will be higher when the round ends. Go short if you think it will be lower. You choose how much SOL to stake and how much leverage to use, from 2x to 100x.

When the round ends, the winning side splits the SOL that the losing side put in. More leverage means a bigger share of that pot, but it also means you are liquidated sooner: if the price moves against you by 1 divided by your leverage, you are out and your stake goes to the pot. At 10x that is a 10% move, at 100x it is 1%.

Winners are only ever paid from the losing side, so a payout can never be bigger than the pot. Of the losing side's SOL, 10% goes to buying back and burning the coin and 2% goes to the platform. Prices for these rounds use a 10 to 30 minute average rather than the last trade, so one big buy cannot liquidate everyone at once. The dev can trade long or short like anyone else, and every dev position is shown on the coin page.

Stakes are 0.01 to 1 SOL per position and each round's pot is capped at 5 SOL, and the cap also scales with how much SOL is in the coin's curve.

Long vs short runs while a coin is on the curve. That is when a coin is small and moves fast, and when the pot is tied to the curve so it stays fair. Once the coin graduates, it trades on the open market and the rounds end.

Fees

Every curve trade costs 1%. That fee is split like this:

Coin creator0.48%
maxxd0.32%
Meteora0.20%

If someone joined through your referral link, you get 30% of maxxd's share of their trades, and 10% of the trades made by people they bring in.
